Beginning Band

The Kernan Middle School Symphonic Beginning Band is for students with little to no previous formal musical instruction. Students are free to join this this ensemble at any grade, a full year commitment is expected of each member; this is an academic course. This band performs in at least 2 formal concerts and may be invited to perform with other schools.

The requirements to join this band are:

1. Interest in music making and performance

2. History of academic success, being respectful, and motivation

3. A desire to work hard and have fun!
